TONY CARLING & THE USUAL SUSPECTS - Original Country Rock, Blues and Rock n Roll music.
London born singer songwriter Tony Carling is an experienced and well travelled singer songwriter/guitarist who has made a name for himself writing original electric and acoustic country rock and blues music which has been acclaimed on both sides of the Atlantic.
After forming the band 'Hogwash' in the 1980's in London, England and then 'Rough Justice' in the 1990's, Tony then changed music styles releasing the acclaimed Americana album 'ANYWHERE' for Way Out West Records. Since then, Tony has pursued a writing career often in the USA that has seen him extensively co-writing in Nashville, Tennessee for over twenty five years securing several publishing deals, breaking world line dance records as well as touring extensively back in the UK with a number of premier live acts including The Blockheads, Albert Lee and The Famous Motel Cowboys as well as having his song “HOME FROM HOME” performed at The Royal Albert Hall in October 2018. This event was recorded and has subsequently been released in the UK as a commemorative album to support the 'War Heroes' initiative.
In the summer of 2018, Tony formed the band - THE USUAL SUSPECTS - as a vehicle to promote his most recent studio album 'LOVE JUNKIE' which is available at all live concerts as well as Amazon, Apple/ ITunes etc. The band which also includes singer/bass guitarist Stephane Moulin as well as - lead guitarist Manu Magloire and drummer Daniel Legendre who also adds backing vocals, now perform concerts both in the London area as well as in France and can be contacted for both private and public engagements via this site. Tony has released six studio albums to date and is currently writing and recording with members of The Usual Suspects for a new studio album of original songs planned for Spring 2020 worldwide release.Some of the material planned for this new album is now being performed live by the band.
As well as continuing to work with The Usual Suspects band, Tony now spends much of his time residing at his farmhouse studios in Calvados, Normandy, France where he is also working on his book 'Redneck Limey' (memoirs of Nashville) and his London musical 'DO’IN TIME'.

" The Usual Suspects " est un groupe de concerts et de studio très expérimenté, très respecté et très populaire formé par le chanteur-auteur-compositeur Tony Carling à Londres, en Angleterre. Aujourd'hui basé à la fois en Normandie / Bretagne en France et à Londres, le groupe interprète des chansons originales de rock-country, de blues et de rock'n'roll.
Tony Carling a effectué des tournées au Royaume-Uni, en Europe et aux États-Unis, à la fois comme artiste solo acoustique et aussi en tant que leader avec des groupes électriques. Aux États-Unis, il a enregistré deux albums à Nashville, Tennessee. Le groupe comprend également un musicien de blues professionnel, le bassiste-chanteur- compositeur Pat Rowbottom qui, comme Tony, a effectué plusieurs tournées et enregistré au Royaume-Uni et en Europe au cours de nombreuses années. Le guitariste français Claude Paravano a quant à lui fait partie de plusieurs groupes au cours d'une carrière musicale bien remplie qui l’a fait tourner dans toute la France pour jouer du jazz, du blues et de la musique pop. Il vit et travaille actuellement dans le nord de la Bretagne.Aussi le batteur Daniel Legendre qui chante aussi sur certaines chansons.
Cette année, "The Usual Suspects" est de retour sur la route pour promouvoir le dernier album studio du groupe," Love Junkie ", composé de chansons originales de country-rock, de blues et de rock'n'roll.
